Richemont took a nasty knock based on poor sales in the Americas. Amplats released ugly numbers. Merafe had lower production. Oceana's US subsidiary refinanced debt. Orion has drawn down on its debt. Updates from Datatec and Schroder as well.

It was a day of cement and property development companies, with some direct competitors reporting. Also look out for Blue Label, Clientele and Motus.

Ghost Bites (Alexander Forbes | MTN Rwanda | Santova)

Alexander Forbes has announced a bolt-on acquisition. MTN Rwanda is under margin pressure. Santova released excellent results after Friday's close.

Ghost Bites (Merafe | Nampak | Omnia)

Merafe's production has taken a dip thanks to Eskom. There's something being packaged at Nampak and I'm not talking about the cans. Omnia has exited Umongo after the call option was exercised.

Ghost Bites (Fairvest | Mahube | PBT | Santam)

Fairvest released its first results since the Arrowhead merger. Mahube Infrastructure achieved modest growth in NAV. PBT Group's margin hasn't escaped inflationary pressures. Santam issued a 10-month trading update.

Ghost Bites (BHP | DRDGOLD | MTN and Telkom | Quilter | Standard Bank)

BHP's production numbers are higher, other than coal. DRDGOLD continues to struggle with margins. MTN has achieved the near-impossible: cancelling something with Telkom. Quilter has lost half its market value this year. Standard Bank signs off on another strong quarter.
